News - Middle East: The chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says the Israeli regime has been defeated by the resistance of the Palestinian people as well as its own mistakes.

“The Zionists seek to fake victory by defeating children and infants as well as bombing the oppressed [Palestinian] people in Gaza. They are subject to attacks and [war of] attrition [waged] by the Palestinians every day,” Major General Hossein Salami said on Monday.
“The enemy has been defeated by the resistance of the innocent, faithful Palestinian people and its own mistakes,” he said.
He added that the Zionists have expanded their operation in the Gaza Strip and exposed themselves to the Muslim fighters, as a result of which “at least 15 tanks and several personnel carriers are destroyed and some of them are killed every day.”
Salami emphasized that the world is changing and Islam is spreading in the globe and said, "God willing, Palestinians will emerge victorious in the battle [against Israel]."
The ongoing military operation by the Palestinian resistance groups against Israel – named Operation Al-Aqsa Storm – has undermined the United States’ position in the world, he asserted.
Israel has been carrying out relentless air and ground attacks on Gaza, including hospitals, residences, and houses of worship, since October 7, when Palestinian resistance movements launched a surprise attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, against the regime.
