Middle East: A significant development unfolded in the confrontation with the United States in the region as the US Central Command announced the killing of three soldiers and the injury of 25 others in a drone attack targeting a US base northeast of Jordan, near the Syrian border. This marks the first time American soldiers have been killed in attacks on US bases since the start of the Al-Aqsa Storm battle, according to statements from the US Central Command.

This development comes amid an escalation of the Iraqi resistance's attacks on US bases, with five attacks on Sunday. Three of them targeted US bases in Syria. The other two attacks occurred in Iraq, targeting the base near Erbil Airport and the Ain Al-Asad base west of Anbar.

Observers anticipate that the American soldiers were killed at the Tanf base in Syrian territory, especially considering an American narrative suggesting the soldiers were killed in non-Jordanian territory. Additionally, there is confirmation from a Jordanian government spokesperson, who told Reuters that the attack targeting American military personnel did not occur on Jordanian soil.

However, whether the American soldiers were killed near the Jordanian-Syrian border, and if the American narrative, attributing the attack to factions affiliated with the resistance in Syria and Iraq, is accurate, the resistance's message is clear. All US bases in the region are targeted. This, in itself, represents a notable development in the confrontation with US forces, signaling the potential expansion of these operations to other countries hosting US forces in the coming days.

From the perspective of observers, the operation resulting in the killing and injury of American soldiers for the first time since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Storm battle indicates that US forces are facing escalating attacks by the resistance in the region. This is a matter that does not warrant Washington's threats of retaliatory attacks, especially since the US administration needs to realistically deal with the consequences of its policies in the Middle East and support for Israel.
