On June 23, 2017, coalition airstrikes targeted people on the main road as they returned from the Al-Mashnaq market in the Shada border district of Sa'adah province.

The airstrikes resulted in five martyrs and three injured before they could return to their families, causing panic and fear among citizens and shoppers. This brutal and intentional crime of genocide turned a joyous return from shopping into a painful scene of torn bodies and spilled blood on a road leading to homes filled with children and women eagerly awaiting food, medicine, and gifts promised by their breadwinner.

The family's needs did not arrive as usual on that Friday afternoon. Instead, the shocking news reached delicate hearts, followed by the arrival of coffins and bags containing burnt remains that were barely identifiable.

Deep wounds, cries of pain, and grief filled the air, affecting all residents of the surrounding areas. The sorrow extended to the families of the wounded and martyrs, their relatives, and all free people of Yemen and those worldwide who received the news and saw the scenes of the crime through media outlets.

7 Martyrs and Several Injured in Coalition Airstrike on Citizens' Homes in Sa'adah

On June 23, 2018, in the same province, coalition airstrikes targeted citizens' homes in Wadi Leya in the Dhaher district with four destructive raids.

These airstrikes resulted in seven martyrs and several injuries from one family, the destruction of homes, the killing of dozens of livestock, damage to nearby homes and properties, and unprecedented forced displacement and homelessness in the region and surrounding areas.

Coalition aircraft continued to hover over the devastated scene, where the bodies of children, infants, and mothers were retrieved and arranged in a shocking display. Among the victims were a child, her mother, her aunt, her grandmother, and a grief-stricken father holding his son's hand.

Random Targeting of Citizens' Homes and Properties

On the same day, June 23, 2018, in the same province, coalition airstrikes targeted citizens' homes and properties in the Ghamar area of the Razih district. These brutal raids resulted in two injuries, the destruction of several homes, forced displacement, the burning of cars, the destruction of farm trees, the killing of livestock, and widespread fear and panic.
